Entretien
It was brief, they want to make sure you can interact professionally with clients during auction previews. Speaking a second language is a plus. It helps to have an employee referral, especially if that person is already a gallery assistant. Most of the interview was very basic questions, it seems more like they just want to see how you interact with people.

It is a video interview. I recently interviewed for the Mandarin-speaking Gallery Assistant role at Christie's in London and thought I’d share my experience in case it helps anyone.
Process:
It was pretty straightforward: one interview stage (5 minutes). Mine was conversational but structured. Nothing overly intimidating.

The interview took place in London, with around 20-25 people in the final selection phase. We went through a group interview, a written assignment and an individual interview. The whole process took on morning. The people were very nice and friendly

Assessment day with around 30 other candidates where we were out in different scenarios and judged on our performance, by the end we were pulled out for a very quick 5 min interview/chat.
