      Entretien

So there was a new chipotle opening in my town so I applied online when a friend of mine told e about it. I got an email 3 days later asking me to show up on Dec. 31st (Wednesday) at any time from 11 am - 5 pm. That day was the day that everyone who applied on chipotle would be interviewed in group interviews to save time. I showed up at 11:30 because I wanted to avoid the initial crowd. I'm so glad that I did because I walked in on an interview happening with 6 people all sat at one table in the restaurant going through the interview together. There was one other person who was also waiting to be interviewed with me. I got to have my interview with only one other person instead of 6, so i felt this was better because I didn't have as much to "compete" with. The manager was interviewing me. He asking me what i wanted to be when I grew up and where I wanted to attend college. He then proceeded to tell me all about the scholarships they offer some workers. He asked how much I wanted to work which was about 20 hours a week. I was called back two days later (Friday Jan 2) and asked to return for a second interview on 3:30 pm on Monday (Jan 5). I went in at about 3:20 pm. Two people were being interviewed at the same time so they asked me to sit and wait. I was happy I went early because I knew exactly how to act during the interview. One of the people being interviewed was so energetic and "bubbly" (which is the word he repeated so many times) while the other was still polite, but very shy. I knew to act like the energetic one, so that's what I did. I smiled SO much. He did comment on how nice my smile was and by the end offered me the job. He asked me what i expected to make and I said minimum wage, and he said the pay was $9 an hour which was better than i expected. He mentioned that I was the last minor that he was able to hire, which made me so happy that I got the interview when I did! ** The hardest part of the interview is acting energetic and trying not to look nervous. I struggled with this the most and he did call me out on it.**

Easy, straight forward questions. Started as a group interview and ended up being offered the job along with 2 other people. It was very casual and no pressure. Interviewer was friendly.

Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had

Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
