I applied for different job, recruiter convinced me that GM was a better growth opportunity. Recruiter left shortly after hiring me. Area Manager did 1:1 interview, general questions and I knew a ton about company. Offered position, negotiated extra cash, did training, opened 2 locations and then got placed as GM - as applied for.

got hired in as an assistant manager and was waiting for a store to open so I could be promoted. worked with a great gm and area manager. Also had a lot of interaction with HR and corporate employees
