      Entretien

This was the strangest interview process I've ever experienced. I had a phone screen with a recruiter on Jan. 29. The recruiter said the next step would be to submit a short video project teaching something, then a panel interview. At the end of the phone screen, the recruiter stated that they wanted to move me forward, but wanted to make sure their timeline worked for me. They said the team was trying to fill this position quickly and needed someone to start Feb. 12 - two weeks later. With the video project and panel interview still remaining, I would have probably been looking at having less than a week to give notice once I got the offer. I explained that I was currently in the middle of purchasing a house and couldn't change jobs until after my closing date about a month later. The recruiter was very understanding of this and said they would check with the hiring manager to see they could wait to fill the position a few weeks later. The recruiter emailed me after the weekend to let me know they couldn't move me forward because they needed someone to start Feb. 12. I asked if this was a typical hiring timeline at Chewy because I wouldn't have felt comfortable with giving less than a two week notice regardless of my situation. The recruiter never emailed me back. Overall, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I probably won't apply to Chewy again.

I applied online and they contacted me back after 2 weeks. I had a first phone screening with HR and then I had to submit a video assignment. After that, I was scheduled for a phone interview with a supervisor. It's been over a month and I haven't received any response. I've followed up with HR twice and I got ghosted. When I first applied I felt that working for Chewy was a great opportunity. After going through the process, I don't feel Chewy exemplifies the values that they are advertising. At this point, I'd have refused an offer if I got one.
