1st Round: Behavioural Interview with the hiring manager. This went well, presumably questions will vary from manager to manager as mine got into GraphQL as the manager was particularly interested in it. Round 2: Coding Interview with 2 engineers. I got a working solution to this round, and the engineers seemed happy with my solution and discussion points after, but did not make it to the next round and received no feedback for the interview.

      Question 1

They send on a react project that you must pull down and run on your local machine. Make sure you have node and an IDE ready on your machine for the interview. They don't give you any instructions and require you to go through the readme and the folder structure to find it, which is awkward given you only have an hour on the interview and realistically it's closer to 50 minutes left at this stage. It was a simple enough problem to create a search box component and send all entries to that search box to an API and display the results.

Initial phone call with recruiter, followed by technical interview, take-home test, another technical interview, an interview with a project manager and finally an interview with the director of engineering. Always had a pleasant interaction with their recruiter and the calls with her were the saving grace for the process. The first technical interview with one of their interviews was also pleasant, mostly a casual conversation between two devs and how to approach different things. The take-home test is not difficult, but it does take a ridiculous amount of time to complete and there isn't enough direction to know where corners can be cut. The second technical interview was a problem. We walked through the take-home exercise but there wasn't any clear direction from the interviewers. They seemed to focus a lot on testing practices more than anything as if I was interviewing for a QA role. This interview was immediately followed by the interview with a project manager who didn't seem very keen on doing the interview and could have been friendlier. This was meant to be the last stage of the process. Time had passed and eventually I was told that another candidate had to postpone their interview and therefore it would take a bit longer for a decision to be made. Some more time went by and then I was told that the director of engineering also wanted to have a interview because apparently there were some questions left unanswered in one of the earlier interviews. The interview was postponed less than 10 minutes from the scheduled time. The interview was an average interview and then it still took a few days to get a decision. The whole process took a whole 2 months. Throughout the process I checked reviews of the company by employees and I asked questions to probe on the red flags. Generally speaking they seem to have a micromanagement style, 0 trust on staff and overly demanding. If you want to change product teams just for the sake of having some variety you even have to wait for an opening and go through an internal interview process as if you were not even an employee of the company already, never heard of such thing.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

The usual questions around career path. Questions about ways of working. How to approach different situations. The take-home test consisted in creating a form to provide a rating and comment and then display submitted results as a chart as well as the most recent comments.
