I am not sure my experience was typical. I submitted an online job application and received an email to set up a phone screening within a day. The phone screening was with a wonderfully delightful recruiter. She explained the next step was to talk with the manager if the manager liked my resume. She said she would contact me within the next 3 days to tell me what was happening. She then called to schedule an interview with manager! The interview as technical and about relating to team members.
