Approached the recruitment team via LinkedIn and sent across my resume. Got shortlisted and went until the penultimate round in Chennai.
- HR is soft-spoken but not professional enough to coordinate. Wasted my first 30 minutes for no reason as she was unaware of my presence even after informing presence to her colleague.
- Phone round was the only round conducted properly.
- In my F2F interview, the interviewer was failing hard to make the "American-accent" for no reason. I'm sure he's aware of it, still went on with that irrespective of the basic communication that has to be maintained in the process. Such a wannabe!! :D
- I was interview on the framework I'd developed from the scratch and about the Rest APIs I automated using that framework.
- The question was given in a paper and as per the question, I have to create a UI Automation framework for the Chargebee API Doc site. I coded the entire framework and requirement in my laptop [I repeat in my laptop] and completed the round at 2:15 PM.
- The next round was a discussion on Selenium.
- After that round, I was asked to create an API Automation framework. Trust me, they were so confused on the API they wanted to give it to me. The interviewer was uncomfortable with a production release going on. Gave some problem statement where it read the JSON request from the file and process the response. It was simple read and process problem. Still, I don't know why I couldn't make it.
- Finally at 6:15 PM when I was waiting for my last round, the HR left for the day without informing the next rounds nor the status of my candidature.
- Later when I followed up I was told that I was rejected. Thank God, I was rejected and was not joining a company who's way of valuing time is so poor.
