J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Centric Consulting (Chicago, IL)
Entretien
The interview process was fairly straightforward. It was a series of interviews in person over the course of a couple weeks. Each individual I met with wanted to get to know you and your background. They try to determine where you would fit within Centric's practice areas. Additionally, I was asked about my goals and where I saw myself working within the company. Each individual I met with was warm, friendly and genuine. The experience was positive for the most part. However, I did not get the offer and the communication towards the end of the interview process was poor. I was told that I would be receiving word on a decision very shortly after my last interview but this never materialized. When I finally reached out myself, I was given a vague answer about my candidacy status and then was never contacted again.
Thank you so much for considering Centric! I'm glad you enjoyed the people you met - the people are the best part of working here and I am happy that shone through. That said, I am sorry we dropped the ball communication-wise. We know we need to get better in that area and are working to implement some new processes that will make for a better candidate experience. Feel free to reach out to me any time with questions or concerns. Best wishes in your job hunt! - Carmen Fontana

I recently attended an interview with Centric Consulting, and unfortunately, it was not a positive experience.
The interviewer, despite being at a senior level, lacked the ability to drive the conversation effectively. The questioning style felt extremely basic, more suited to someone with junior-level experience. The job description emphasized domain knowledge, yet only two domain-related questions were asked, and even those were chosen arbitrarily rather than being aligned with real-world project experience. The interviewer seemed more interested in theoretical and textbook-based answers rather than practical insights.
Despite answering 95% of the questions correctly, the feedback received was unreasonable. The rejection was based on a skill that was of minimal importance in the JD, and the feedback on domain experience questions was completely unjustified. It appeared that the interviewer was either uninterested in genuine evaluation or lacked the expertise to assess real-world experience effectively.
The entire process gave the impression that the interview was conducted just for the sake of it—perhaps as a formality to show management that the team was actively recruiting. It felt like the company had already finalized a candidate and was merely holding additional interviews to maintain a backup option.
Final Thoughts - This experience was a complete waste of time. If Centric Consulting is not genuinely considering candidates, they should not schedule interviews and mislead applicants. Such practices reflect poorly on the HR team and can harm the company’s reputation in the long run. I sincerely hope the company revisits its hiring process to ensure fairness and professionalism.

They did a great job of setting expectations and informing me what to be prepared for in each interview round (e.g., technical, behavioral, work samples, etc.). Follow up after each round was timely.
