The interview process consisted of three rounds. The second round didn’t really sell Centene or the position, but the third round the interviewers were professional and engaging. During the final interview, the hiring team discussed the next steps in the hiring process and encouraged patience regarding the timeline, which reasonably left me with the impression that I remained under consideration for the role.
Following the final interview, I proactively reached out to the recruiter every two weeks over a month for status updates but did not receive any meaningful communication. Nearly two months later, I received the rejection email. The position has continued to be reposted, twice by my count since my interviews.
While I understand hiring decisions can take time and organizations may ultimately choose another candidate, the lack of communication after multiple interview rounds was disappointing. Candidates who have invested significant time in the process deserve periodic updates, particularly when they are encouraged to remain patient and continue waiting for a decision.
Interview questions focused on privacy leadership, compliance program management, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory experience.
Recommendation: improve candidate communication and provide timely status updates to finalists throughout the hiring process.
