I applied for a role with this company and heard back within a week that they wanted to move forward with a phone interview. Unfortunately, the process was disorganized from the start.
The recruiter’s communications were confusing, the ‘phone interview’ was held on Zoom, yet the email stated cameras were not required. More importantly, no Zoom link was ever included in any of the follow-up emails. I had to reach out myself just 15 minutes before the interview began, which caused it to start 15–20 minutes late. When we finally connected, the recruiter had her camera on, contradicting what was communicated beforehand.
Beyond the logistical issues, the recruiter appeared unfamiliar with the role and its related fields, including healthcare, public health, and community outreach. When I asked prepared follow-up questions at the end of the interview, she struggled to answer them.
She followed up shortly after with a ‘next steps’ email, which I found encouraging, but five days later I received an automated rejection citing candidates being ‘more aligned with the role.’
The overall experience felt like the company was fulfilling an interview quota rather than engaging in a genuine hiring process. I would caution others to set measured expectations if interviewing here.
