      Entretien pour Sales Account Executive

      26 juin 2023
      Candidat à l'entretien anonyme
      Nashville, TN
      Aucune offre
      Expérience négative
      Entretien facile

      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 6 jours. J'ai passé un entretien chez Catalyst Leadership Group (Nashville, TN) en juin 2023

      Entretien

The entire interview felt misleading like they were trying to see if I was inexperienced enough to join their team. It was the weirdest interview I’ve ever had. I logged in to the zoom interview and was erroneously there with another candidate who thought I was the interviewer. Once I got placed in the correct interview room, the interviewer immediately said, “tell me who you are and what brought you here,” and I said, “first, could I get YOUR name?” They told me their name but no title to my knowledge. They said it’s important to their team that you “go out” weekly with them to restaurants to build morale. I’m not a fan of “fundatory” activities, especially when you’re required to pay for food/drinks for the pleasure of your boss’ company off the clock. The HR rep said in a pre-interview email that they would give me the opportunity to “ask any questions I may have.” As the Interview wrapped up, I asked them if I could ask a couple questions and the interviewer actually winced and said, “I have two minutes before I need to leave.” ??? I’m sorry??? Their website is littered with typos (I found 11 while researching the company), which is ironic because the CEO talks about their background having a degree in English. I had to use Chrome to even access the website because when you use safari it says, "this website is not private and may be trying to steal your information." The dress code is: “Closed toe heels or flats are acceptable. Skirts /dresses with a hemline above the knee should be worn with tights hose. No plunging or deep V necklines. Hair/beards should be neatly groomed. No tennis shoes.” They told me on the initial call that most people wear suit/tie. And finally, a “sales account executive” is actually the person who accosts you at Target/Costco in the phone section to try and get you to switch to AT&T. They said you would be in the store for 12-18 months but even then, you would still be supervising or popping in intermittently. They said they will follow-up within the day and if they don’t, that means you didn’t get it lol. Red flags all around.

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We take interview experiences seriously and appreciate hearing where expectations may not have aligned. Our interview process is designed to be conversational and transparent, giving candidates insight into our culture, team dynamics, and the nature of the role while also learning more about them as individuals. We understand that our structure, sales environment, and emphasis on team connection outside of work may not be the right fit for everyone. Participation in team activities is never intended to feel mandatory, and candidates are always encouraged to ask questions to ensure the opportunity aligns with their personal and professional goals. We regret any confusion or technical issues experienced during the interview and appreciate the opportunity to learn from this feedback as we continue refining our process. We wish you the best in finding a role that better fits your expectations.
