I was asked to do a phone interview, which was about 30-40 min long (with the HR rep) and was mostly them asking me about stuff that was already listed on my resume. I was then asked to come in for an in-person interview (which is a 14 hour drive round trip for me) the following week, so I asked about what salary range they were offering, since I'd have to take time off work to drive up there. It took about 5 emails to finally glean that they weren't paying what I'd hoped, so I didn't do the in-person interview.
