      Entretien

I passed the first stage online assessment, it was pretty easy. Second stage was a Teams interview, which has been claimed to be strength-based. Make sure that you are prepared to answer more general questions, such as just describing yourself in general, what you enjoy doing in your spare time and why you are interested in the role. They also asked what specific Cappfinity solutions I was interested in. After about 15 minutes the strength-based questions started. They were fine, they asked good follow-up questions to gauge a more complete answer where needed. Ultimately my interview wasn't successful, which I expected, but the feedback was strange. Although I found the two strengths they attributed me to be accurate, the strength they said I needed developing was completely wrong. My former colleagues and managers emphasised to me specifically that it was a major quality of mine. I'm not going to denigrate the assessors for this as perhaps it was something I should have spoken more about at length instead of emphasising on another quality which can conflict with that strength. It is my opinion that the interview was not optimised for accurately gauging one's strengths. That being said, I'm grateful that I know which quality to emphasise on in the next interview I have lined up. Interestingly, Cappfinity was the company whose talent acquisition tools are used by another organisation I interviewed for a couple months ago. The feedback was similar, down to that specific strength they stated I need to improve on. The questions I asked the interviewers were based on the reviews I looked at on Glassdoor. They were: 1) My question: How does Cappfinity foster collaboration and knowledge sharing? Their answer (paraphrased from my notes): Everyone of different specialisations are more than encouraged, in fact pushed, to reach out to each other. There is a quarterly summit where business psychologists gather to reflect on projects, give tidbits and share knowledge and advice. 2) Q: How would you describe the company culture at Cappfinity, particularly in the team I would be working with? A: The culture is very supportive. There is never a "no" for an answer. Management goes the extra mile. There are lots of meet-ups. There is a lot of pride in the quality of our work and the ability to take on feedback. Everyone needs to have the personality to be accepting of feedback. 3) Q: How does Cappfinity invest in employee growth and development, and how are career paths fostered within this Assessment Consultant role? A: [My notes say "catchups all managers". I realise that's unclear as it could mean "all managers catch up together to discuss talent development" or "all managers catch up with employees to see how they can help them develop"). There are clear KPIs, and employees are rewarded upon exceeding these.
