      Entretien

I have been very interested in Capital One because of their UX-centric culture. As a new MBA grad with a product owner certification, some UX training, and a couple years of digital marketing background, I thought I might have a chance. It was made clear during the interview that they expect , for the manager position, direct experience with a full digital product lifecycle and/or a couple years in digital product management. A software engineering background is also highly preferred. The recruiter was very nice and is looking out for lower-level roles for me, but just wanted to make sure everyone knows that as of January 2023, this is truly the expectation.

First had a recruiter screening, then had a mini case. mini case was fine, then had a power day. there was a interview involving profit margin, ratios and profit/loss. The interviewer was pretty mean throughout. Another interview was similar but less difficult. The product skills and discovery case were pretty easy if you do product management as a career, one is walking through the end to end development of a feature another is a supposedly "fun" way of going through a feature that could be developed for a topic. I didn't get an offer, the hard case I was not able to finish even though the other 3 went really well with good feedback.

      Question 1

Tell me about a product you build from start to finish. How many new product do you need to to sell to meet the profit margin from when the product wasn't created

One click enrollment for Instant Purchase Notifications: technical considerations to build it. Any other build dependencies your team must plan for. Design review: what you like, do not like, what to change. How would you validate the new experience? How would you gather the metrics? How will users respond?
