J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Canonical en nov. 2024

Canonical's infamous interview process, in my experience, was exactly as described online by many others. The recruiters jerk you around for a minimum of several months before hitting you with the most copy-pasted rejection letter I've seen. Pushed my way through the ridiculously long twenty question written "interview" portion in which half of the questions were asking about performance in high school, for some asinine reason. Got dropped after taking some ableist spacial awareness/reasoning test called the Thomas GIA (mind you, before I had sat down with any real human being in this entire process). Guess my ability to flip the letter R in my mind wasn't good enough to be a programmer for the world's worst Linux distro. My tip to interviewees: stay as far away as possible from Canonical.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
How did you rank in your high school, in your final year in maths and hard sciences? Which was your strongest?
It's an extremely long process that includes standardized tests, take home assignments, and several rounds of interviews. It was at least 5 rounds long and you interview across different teams.

They have a really long, tiring interview process. The first round was a written interview where I had to answer like 15 questions. Then a coding interview with 1 hour time that I could do anytime for 2 weeks. Then I had to take a personality test and they totally ghosted me.
The first round is a bunch of questions like 30 or so where you have to describe your expierence, personal and academical information. Then there is a asynch technical interview and a psychology test.
