Canonical has a lengthy process(Almost 9-11) rounds of interviews and you would get peanuts at the end. Time taken around 2 months. Here is how my interview went: 1. Long questionnaire - I filled this up and was set up for the next steps, time took around 5 hours as there are many things to fill here. 2. Online assessment(More like an IQ test) - You need to be quick and correct to pass this test, there are simple puzzles and questions nothing difficult, but it matters how many you solve in the given time. 3. Meet and greet interview: A quick and short interview which is a short introduction to the company by one of the engineers. The person who took my interview was really sweet. 4. Technical assessment: A technical assessment was sent over, it depends on your role but I had a python assessment. Quick and easy. 5, 6, 7. Interviews: I had 3 technical interviews focused on my job role. Nothing difficult, if you understand the basics of the tech stack you applied for you will get through the interviews. No leetcode. Most questions can be found in the top 100 questions for a Python interview or the top 100 for a Linux interview. Nothing out of the world and all the interviewers were really sweet and welcoming. In one of the interviews, we discussed the assessment I completed on what I would improve. 8. Interview with HR: STAR-based answers are required for this round. Salary expectations are discussed. 9. Hiring manager interview: Nothing much to tell here as it was just resume-based and questions about what I would do in a particular situation. If comfortable working from home, etc. 10. Offer Their offers are way below industry standards, when I say way below it's actually way way below.

Thank you for completing our process and for your interest in Canonical. Whilst we carefully look at salary benchmark data for the roles we offer, we are of course disappointed when someone decides not to join us. We would like to wish you the very best of luck with your onward career journey.

It's an extremely long process that includes standardized tests, take home assignments, and several rounds of interviews. It was at least 5 rounds long and you interview across different teams.
The first round is a bunch of questions like 30 or so where you have to describe your expierence, personal and academical information. Then there is a asynch technical interview and a psychology test.

They have a really long, tiring interview process. The first round was a written interview where I had to answer like 15 questions. Then a coding interview with 1 hour time that I could do anytime for 2 weeks. Then I had to take a personality test and they totally ghosted me.
