J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Canonical
Entretien
After reviewing my resume, I was asked to write a very long essay about questions that mostly had nothing to do with the role. The essay had over 30 questions I was supposed to answer and to be honest would have taken a very long time to answer it that I didn't think was worth it. I think people who are indeed qualified for a role can be tested in more efficient ways and it not fair to ask someone to spend 3+ hours of their time writing an essay when they may not get the role.
Overall the questions seemed tailored for a managerial role not a mid-level engineering role.

I applied to Canonical and immediately got a writing prompted from my "interviewer". I emailed the interviewer and asked if they accept candidates without college degree. After waiting for a response for 5 days, I finally get a response saying No, I wouldn't even be considered. This tells me they didn't even look at my resume, since I list that I do not have college. A few days later, I get a "reminder" from them to finish my writing prompt. Uhm, no, you told me you weren't going to hire me regardless of my technical skills. Judging by the reviews of Canonical, it seems I dodged a bullet by NOT working here!
