I was initially contacted by by the recruiter with a set of questions and to schedule an interview. My conversation with her went smoothly, and I found her to be a warm and professional recruiter. She contacted me the next day to set up an interview with the next person. Prior to the interview, I had invested a significant amount of time in researching the role and communities in Florida. This ensured that I was fully prepared for the interview and ready to confidently discuss relevant topics. My conversation during the follow up interview was very surface level and I did not feel like the person wanted to be there. I don’t believe there’s inherently good or bad candidates, but rather people who fail to ask the right questions. I felt that the person doing the second interview wasn't prepared and didn't give me a fair chance from the moment she saw me, I almost felt that she judged me to be “too young”based on my appearance. Approximately two weeks later, I received an email stating that they were proceeding with other candidates who were deemed more qualified. Surprisingly, just three hours later, the same job was posted again. - There was 1000+ applicants across their job post and the three agencies they were working with. - Job was reposted FIVE times! - The role had been open for FOUR months! - There's about SEVEN rounds of interviews... Yet, they never give people a chance. While I understand that I may not have met all of their requirements perfectly, it doesn't seem fair to me that 1000 people are deemed unqualified. I am confident that I would have excelled as a Regional Marketing Manager if given the opportunity.
