Submitted online application through the parent organization. Was told by the job poster I'd receive a call in the near future, but it might be a while. When no call came in a month or two, I called the parent organization's HR; they had no record of any application being submitted and said the hiring process was closed. I politely asked what my options were, if something could be done. After a second phone call, they found out I had been promised a phone call but had received none (which they were surprised at, I surmised that wasn't supposed to happen). A very nice HR rep agreed to re-open the case and grant me an interview. I had a single phone call with the technical director.
