The interviewer called 20 minutes late with no explanation. This was my first phone interview and I was prepared for one of the traditional interview methods I had read about. It started out with the interviewer saying "I have your resume in front of me, please expand on the bullet points". I suggested that I start with my accomplishments. Halfway through, I asked if this information was what they were looking for. Response, "I am taking some notes". At the conclusion of accomplishments, the interviewer jumped right in and said, "You are over-qualified, and 'people like you' will work for CSC for a couple of months and then leave for another job". I told this person that I was receiving a pension, that my skillset matched perfectly with the job qualifications, and I was looking for a position where I could hit the ground running and become a contributing team member quickly. "I'm sorry, but I don't think you are an appropriate candidate. We'll keep your information on file". Nevertheless, I was disappointed with their response and feel that their mind was made up before interview took place.

Well, first the internet connection was poor from the interviewer side. And suddenly a third person's name appeared in screen without any introduction. Personal questions were asked but not related to working experience, motivation, background, career goal, etc. It was a questionable interview that made the interviewee feel like they were just being used as a KPI filler.

Question 1
self introduction and visa status, language skills, salary expectations, no behavior questions at this round.
The interview process consisted of two rounds of interviews. Both interviews primarily focused on behavioral questions, where candidates were asked to discuss past experiences, teamwork, problem-solving situations, and how they handled challenges in previous roles. The goal was to understand the candidate’s communication skills, work style, and cultural fit with the team.

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you made a mistake and what did you learn from that?
The recruiter was nice, normal first recruiter call where few questions are asked. It felt like a bit of a barrier to get through to the actual hiring team. Some of the questions asked were easily seen in my resume.
