The process can be somewhat lengthy for some but mine was rather quick. Went to a CN job fair got a very simple interview primarily about previous job experience and how you would deal with certain situations. Then pass physical and drug test. Just be confident and the job is basically yours but don't think you want it because you do not.The best part of the job is the money and that you can tell the friends and family you never see that you are a train conductor.

They asked the usual questions about safety, attitude and situational awareness. How id react to certain things. Fairly friendly interviewers. Overall it was a good experience. I got an offer but declined due to health reasons.
