Received an interview request and spent around 1 hour talking to the hiring manager and recruiter. The recruiter was a bit rude when asking if I spoke French and I said no, but it wasn’t on my resume or listed at all in the job description so I didn’t think it would be an issue. A week later I received a generic rejection email. I replied asking for feedback because I am a current university student and I received a generic response from the recruiter saying that they don’t have time to give me feedback. As a student seeking jobs during the pandemic this told me a lot about CN’s culture and values.
They claim to want to give learning and development experiences to students, but the fact that they refused to take 2 minutes to give genuine feedback, when I took an hour to interview with them, only to have potentially been rejected for something they could have screened for in my resume or during the phone call (speaking French) was pretty disappointing.

Entretien
All online and you film yourself answering 4 questions with 2 in French and 2 in English. You have 30 seconds to view and think about your answer until the recording starts. For the first 2 questions you have two tries and for the last 2 you only have one (I haven't gotten a response yet so i put my answer as no for did i get an offer)

Entretien
A video, one way interview with four questions. For the first two questions you have two attempts, and for the last two, you have only one attempt. The last two questions are a bit more difficult.
Two rounds, one pre-recorded and one live with manager. Depends on the manager but my interview was very straightforward and mostly behavioural. The pre-recorded interview had five general questions about myself and usually got two tries for each question.
