They look out for people who can be replaced in the organization and when the opportunity comes in terms of the availability of resources at substatnitally lower prices, they take them

The process was quite simple: I submitted my application, HR got in touch, I had an interview, and then the hiring manager conducted another interview. It appears that my candidacy was not successful, and the opportunity did not materialize.

Entretien
Straight forward. Single interview with a director, took the form of a discussion rather than interrogation and lots of opportunities to ask questions about the role and organisation. offer followed a few days later.
Applied online, received a call from them 10 months later for video interview - they had technical difficulties in setting up video interview but did the interview over the phone. Very basic questions nothing to do with the role l applied for.
