Online telephone screening that lasted about 10-15 minutes. Questions about personal skills and interest in the company. It was a very positive process and the interviewer was very friendly. They got back to me about the next stage in just over a week.

I recently attended an assessment day at CBRE, which, unfortunately, did not meet my expectations. The day included two group tasks requiring presentations. A significant concern was the overly aggressive behavior of several applicants, who frequently showcased off-topic technical knowledge rather than collaborating effectively.
Moreover, the professionalism of the staff was questionable. During our presentation, one of the interviewers appeared disengaged and was falling asleep, which was disheartening and unprofessional.
Another area of disappointment was the networking session. Despite HR’s efforts to encourage interaction, none of the planning graduates or members made an effort to engage with us. This lack of involvement from the team made the networking period ineffective and unwelcoming.
The office tour was equally uncomfortable, as we were met with unwelcoming stares from the staff. Such an environment did not make us feel valued or respected as potential future employees.
Overall, the assessment day at CBRE was underwhelming and lacked the professionalism and welcoming atmosphere I expected. It’s essential for an organization of CBRE’s stature to foster a more collaborative and engaging environment during such important events.
Asked industry-specific questions and was then asked some competency questions e.g. greatest accomplishment, communicating in a difficult situation. Relaxed environment and ended up being in conversation style by the end. Time given to ask interviewers questions at the end.
