Very standard process, emails and phone calls lead up to interviews. Was told to expect an email with an offer. Then a person ended up being out of the office so it was going to take another couple days. Noticed the position was reposted with a much lower salary range. Then never heard back from the recruiter, when contected was told they made a mistake with the salary range. They never even asked me if I was willing to accept the lower range, just quit contacting me.

The process is you have to go through a long background check process. I would suggest before you accept the job make sure you have a long good history of good credit build up because that has been a common thing that has held up the process of getting your security clearance.
