Brightway does not require job applicants to provide a social security number or complete the work opportunity tax credit (WOTC) form when applying for an open position. Prior to extension of a job offer, a social security number is required to verify a candidate’s identity and the voluntary completion of the WOTC form allows us to continue building a diverse and inclusive workforce where all candidates can thrive and succeed. We have modified our online application and instructions to reflect the appropriate sequencing of events.
