Walked back on a verbal commitment to make an offer, a big red flag about the ethics in the company. Seems like there is no coherence between the recruiting team and the team making offers

Their recruiter contacted me via LinkedIn about the role and we agreed to go forward. Four total interviews: HR > Director> CIO > CTO. Process took about a month. They were all wonderful people. I even met one of them in person where I received a verbal offer. I was told they were still working on contract details with the customer I would be supporting, but once that was done there would an official offer. Over the course of two months, one by one, they stopped responding. I wish there had been more transparency at the start that this position was contingent on contract award.
