J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Bridgewater Associates (Bridgeport, CT) en sept. 2015
Entretien
Tapped up by recruiter; introductory phone interview with future line manager; online personality tests; interview with organisational psychologist; interview with line manager's manager.
A lot of stress put on the radical transparency ethos throughout but I came away feeling underwhelmed by the interactions I had. The personality tests came across as superficial and lacking insight. Generally they appear quite impressed by themselves but my sense is that they are little different from any other asset manager. This is a marketing gimmick to hide the fact that the genius is in the founder as an individual, not in the organisational DNA as claimed. Succession problems are evident and no one had a good answer to that particular question. Probably a great place to start your career but established professionals require a higher burden of proof. Who wants to land up in a small town in CT with the risk that this culture is actually quite toxic? Nobody has enough time for that.

Question 1
Discussions with business representatives were genial and intellectually undemanding, mainly about the job; personality test was a little old fashioned and results were lamely obvious; org psy was philosophical - "Would you legalise all drugs?"
