I applied to the position online and was called that same day to set up an interview date. My first interview was with a very nice senior backend developer that I got along with very well. We chatted about development and went over some of my previous projects. I got a call that same day for a second interview. 'Great' I thought, it went well. The second interview was with a pair of owners who could not have been more condescending to me and my work. One owner really challenged me on everything I said, which I didn't mind so much, typical interview sort of, except he cut me off numerous times and wouldn't let me speak. The other owner came in half way through me explaining a project and proceeded to be extremely negative and arrogant. I found it to be very rude to not even listen to my concepts and reasoning for certain elements, and just dismissing everything straight away. I was barely allowed to speak from then on as he touted how this was a billion dollar company, the next "Uber", which is laughable. When it came to salary expectations, I gave a very fair estimate for someone filling two roles in Design and Front-End Development, which they immediately scoffed at. I guess their billion dollar company isn't willing to pay their employees fairly. When I asked questions towards the end the one owner seemed very annoyed and restless, like he had better things to be doing with his time. I feel sorry for whoever ends up getting hired here, they will be surely mistreated.
