I had a call with the Center Director that went extremely well, during which time she confirmed all information in the job posting and thoroughly explained the way the centers operate. Desired pay was also confirmed during this call. The next day I had a virtual interview over GoogleMeet with the Center Director and the Owner of the North Austin (Round Rock) location. This meeting also went well, however I was advised the pay range that was in the posting and verified on my call with the Center Director actually wasn't being honored, I was told they just listed that but already had a set rate in mind, and that the benefits mentioned in the posting weren't actually available either. It was very misleading and highly disappointing, as this is a field I've wanted to get into for quite some time and I spent hours preparing my cover letter, researching the company and making notes to prepare for my interview. When I address the discrepancy with them, I received no apology and there was no accountability, only an excuse that there were "multiple people working on this". They still offered me a position and I declined, as I didn't feel comfortable moving forward.
