Initial phone screen followed by a zoom call with the Hiring Manager that ran through my work experience. Everything aligned with my experience and the expectations of the role. The Third interview was a case study. This is where the interview process was awful. The case study was called "Magical Cookies" - with 0 relevance to the actual company and what they do. Needless to say, I completed this case study with the limited amount of information provided. When I showed the title slide, both the HM and a panel member laughed because of the name "magical cookies" - I then asked "what's funny?" as it threw me off from the questions presented on the case study. I learned shortly after that the case study was just made up on ChatGPT and that the panel member couldn't find a better name or topic. This shows the lack of effort by the team in their own work. 1/2 way through the interview, a third panel member joined and I rehashed what I said initially. Tardiness especially after presenting a case study is so disrespectful. I was done with the interview by the time this person joined.
