My first interview was with my manager. He was friendly and made me feel very welcome and instantly relaxed. It was an informal chat through my CV and experience and he opened a few discussions to understand how I would approach certain situations. I found this an excellent way of getting to know my ways of working and to see if I would be a good fit for the role. He explained how the company operates and told me about all the benefits of working at Rentalcars.com.
The 2nd stage interview was a set task that I had to undertake. I was given a week to prepare a presentation that I had to deliver back to my manager. This was more his way of getting to see how I presented to a room, rather than the content of my presentation. He asked some questions on the detail which put me under pressure a little, but I felt prepared to be able to answer all the questions. Again, he made me feel relaxed and that it was an informal session of which there was no right or wrong answer. I left feeling confident.
Throughout the process the recruitment specialist that works at Rentalcars.com kept me informed on how my application was progressing and was great at giving me detailed feedback from my first interview to help me prepare for my 2nd interview.
