I had applied for the Team Lead position. I was very surprised to see an email from the recruiter on the same day, asking for the first interview! That was the only email (response) I ever got from Bolt. The email contained a scheduling calendar link, but I was not able to see any fitting slots. So I replied to that email asking if i could have some more slots. Did not receive a response, but next day on the same link i could see one slot open up that worked for me and i scheduled the call.
During the call I was informed that there had been a departmental restructuring recently, and they were no longer hiring for the Team Lead/Manager role, but there were Senior and Staff Product Analyst roles open in several teams. I said okay, I don't mind interviewing for the Staff role. The rest of the call was average, a typical recruiter meeting with details about my experience, skills and information about the role and Bolt. The next step i was told would be a Hackerrank test which i was expected to complete within 3-4 days! I received the Test link that day and had planned to do it on the weekend. However, I got sick and was not able to do it. I emailed the recruiter asking for an extension until the weekend. I did not receive any response.
I completed the test on the weekend and also emailed the recruiter about it.
Since then, i was ghosted. I sent 3 follow up emails over the next 3 weeks asking for an update, but never received any response. Once there was an automated sick note response, which mentioned contacts of two colleagues, i also copied them in the next 2 emails, and still there was no response.
So ultimately it was a total waste of time and effort.
