J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Boatsetter en févr. 2024
Entretien
Started off with a standard interview screen with the recruiter - who turned out to not work for Boatsetter. They sent me their calendar to schedule which was literally blocked for about 2 months. I picked the first available date - 2 months out and then they emailed me with a handful of upcoming dates. Not sure what the point of sending me their calendar was.
The recruiter interview itself was strange. They were rushing through the interview as fast as possible. They then mentioned how hardly anyone applied to the role and they had to reach out to their personal network for applicants - they sounded irritated by this. The interview last maybe 15 minutes as it felt like they couldn't wait to get me off the phone.
I then interviewed with the hiring manager. It felt like they didn't take it seriously. Hardly any actual interview questions - almost felt like one of those interviews where you know you're not getting an offer because they already have someone in mind.
I then received a generic no thank you letter which is disappointing. Not because I didn't get the job, but I've never had that happen after an interview with a hiring manager. Typically the recruiter reaches out to let you know you're not moving forward.
Fast forward nearly 3 weeks and I receive a text message from the recruiter reminding me of a scheduled interview - for the job I was already turned down for. I then received an email from the recruiter thanking me for interviewing ... an interview I never did because I had already been turned down for the job weeks earlier.
Terrible & unprofessional experience.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself. That was literally almost the entire interview with the hiring manager.
