I first found the position on Indeed. It was a google form application. Then I was emailed a math proficiency exam. Pretty easy questions (algebra, trig, geometry). Then I came in for an interview. The coordinator was present, two students and another math fellow. After that, I was asked to come back to shadow. Then I was asked if it met my expectations and if I would like to continue in the hiring process.

Question 1
How would you teach percents in a new and interesting way?
First I had a phone screening that lasted 20 minutes. I spoke to a woman who was from the organizations headquarters. Next, I took an online math quiz. You had 1 hour to answer 13 questions, but it can easily be done in under 30 minutes. Finally, I had a phone interview with the regional coordinator that lasted less than one hour.

They asked a few pre-determined questions. Mostly soft-balls. I walked in and met the coordinator, then I was asked a few questions about myself, my background, and my plans in education.
After the soft-ball questions, they called a current student in and had me "teach" the student a concept. It was pretty easy, but it's kind of awkward working with a student for the first time when you don't know that person's ability.
