Interview process consisted of an initial 30-45 minute technical phone interview and an all-day final interview with a presentation followed by 30 minute one-on-one interviews with all presentation attendees. The final round of interviewing takes a lot of time before AND day of, which leads to my only gripe (though it's major).
The actual team I interviewed with was wonderful and clearly loved their jobs. HR was a HUGE nightmare and brought down the entire process for me. Between each step (e.g. scheduling the first interview, confirming and scheduling the second interview, final feedback) HR was MIA and completely unhelpful. The recruiter in particular never one directly answered any questions I posed in emails, meaning I instead had to ask my interviewers and feel a little behind the ball. Following the interview, I was told I had unfortunately not gotten the job. This was disappointing, but not unexpected in a job hunt. What I found to be wholely unacceptable is that no other feedback was provided--and the recruiter's email preempted any requests by stating that "unfortunately, no further feedback will be provided." While this would be expected at the initial stages of interviewing, at final stages of interviewing with so much time and preparation required this is wildly inconsiderate.
While I would love to work at Blue Origin, my experience with HR has left an awful taste in my mouth. Do better and live up to your claims of treating people well!
