      Candidature

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 1 jour. J'ai passé un entretien chez Bloomberg en sept. 2010

      Entretien

A recruiter posted the Job in July on Craigslist 2 months later Recruiter told me to apply for a job # on their web site 1 month later arranged for a phone interview Phone interview was 1 person. It was 7am My time on West Coast. I prepared for two weeks studying algorithms, data structures etc. None of those came up the interview was **All** C# questions. I tier to create a rapor with the guy and gain some insight into the company culture but he was rather uninterested, obviously busy and in a hurry to get the interview over with. So we launched into the C# question session .. the questions were in no particular order and followed one after the other at a furious pace. Anytime I mentioned something like 'delegate' or 'mutex' we wandered off on that tangent until he was satisfied that his knowledge was superior to mine and then we would move on with a 'grunt'. None of the questions involved problem solving or architecture they were all nitty gritty C#/CLR type questions. Things you can look up on Wikipedia or MSDN in 10 minutes. Needless to say some things I didn't know or got wring in hindsight. But it all ended after about 50 minutes... I then told him why I wanted to work there , what I like about the position etc I could tell that I wasn't going to get another interview. It's been two weeks and neither the Recruiter or the Company has got back to me ..but I still have hope lol

First round was with HR, who were helpful and transparent around details including process, salary range and job expectations. Had a second-round technical screen for one hour. Started with questions around experience followed by a coding problem. I found it challenging but the interviewers were polite, helpful and fair. Unfortunately did not make it through to the virtual onsite, but the process was fair and appropriate to the role.

Terrible communication. Got passed between 3 different recruiters all of whom gave specific dates for updates and blew past them. Descriptions of what would be covered in the interviews are wholly inaccurate (don’t bother reading the PDF they sent to “prep” you, almost none of it came up in any of the 3 interviews I did with them.) Interviewers themselves were decent but clearly had exact “right” answers they were looking for. What’s the point of a leetcode question where there’s only one way to implement it? What’s the point of a system design interview where you’re having a candidate parse through a complex system that they clearly already know everything about and are just looking for 1-2 EXACT modifications to check off their boxes? Was there even a right answer? I genuinely don’t know what this company was looking for. Waste of time, waste of effort, waste of resources. Avoid, avoid, avoid
