      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Bloomberg en oct. 2012

      Entretien

About a week after applying, I had a brief phone screening (perhaps 20 minutes) on a Thursday, and at the END OF THAT SAME CONVERSATION, I was invited in for an in-person interview with two people. They wanted me to come in VERY soon after the phone screening, which I found a little odd for a company of Bloomberg's size. Since I heard that Bloomberg is great to work for, and since it seemed like a great role for me, I dropped everything and went in the following Wednesday. (They wanted me to come in the following Monday - literally two business days after the phone screening!) I arrived at the in-person interview at Bloomberg's Park Ave. location on-time, and was directed to the floor where the Supply Chain Systems team is located. The hiring manager greeted me, but seemed very unhappy right from the beginning... as though she was interviewing me against her will. The interview went smoothly, but to be honest, they didn't even challenge me. I brought samples of my work and other supporting materials, and was prepared to answer MUCH harder questions than they gave me, but I wasn't really challenged AT ALL. In fact, the entire process seemed like a formality. After exactly 30 minutes, the hiring manager got up, and HER manager came into the room. She was a bit less unhappy than the hiring manager, but the interview again seemed like a formality. Everyone was cordial and pleasant, and the experience of the interview itself, though strangely easy, wasn't really negative.
