Entretien
The initial interview and first impressions from the interviewer are truly what determines whether or not a company is the right fit! I knew right from the start that Block would be the perfect fit for me! I was first contacted by one of their internal recruiters - she was so kind and professional! Typical to all start ups and tech companies these days, I then had to complete a design challenge and was contacted to set up the next round of interviews with the leader. He was so professional, and the reason why I chose Block!

Entretien
There were about 8-10 interviews. I lost count at some point. I spoke with 5 people several of them twice. Everyone was very polite. However this is way too many interviews for the position.

The questions were very standard interview questions from my experience. Everything from simple previous experience questions to specific skills/software knowledge.

Entretien
After applying online I received an email from a recruiting company 2 days after my application in order to schedule a screening call. After the screening call, I received a work simulation project/case study. It included questions about how I would respond to two separate client email scenarios as well as a visual design statement demonstrating my values as a designer. After I submitted my case study, I followed up twice with the recruiter before I heard back from her about 2 weeks later to schedule an interview in internal interview with who would become my supervisor. The interview went well and after the call I received an info sheet about the different contract options for freelancers. Within the following 2 days I received a contract for the option I had selected. After submitting my application I started in my role in about 2 weeks.
