J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 7 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Blizzard Entertainment (Irvine, CA) en mars 2015

      Entretien

The interview process was extremely slow and not always transparent. You need a resume, cover letter, and a technical review of a game to apply. You get interviewed on the phone and asked several questions about your personality and job skills. There seems to be a lot of emphasis on non-work related aspects (hobbies, personality, interests, appearance even). The in-person interview was the worst of all. It took over 2 months from my application to get an interview with little to no communication in between. You are interviewed in a "panel" sort of situation with 3-4 people firing questions at you. There were no questions about my actual job skills at all. It was all about my personality, hobbies, where I had traveled, and a lot of personal questions that felt a little out of place. Two of the guys were great, but one of them seemed completely uninterested in the interview. He kept looking at his phone and messaging. Probably work related, but it's an interview and it was extremely distracting and disrespectful. On that note, you do get the feeling that they consider themselves "rockstars" and are not very humble. Overall it felt like some of them had decided they didn't like me before we even started. After the interview, they strung me along for several more months. At the 7th month mark, I was already working another job and had to start making more "permanent" decisions for my life. I had held off on all these decisions on the off-chance I could work for Blizzard. I eventually started contacting them regularly to ask if they had decided yet. They eventually turned me down. I wish they had done that much quicker. I was promised feedback on my interview and had to remind them for it several weeks later because it was not going to come unsolicited. The feedback seemed an excuse for why they turned me down rather than real relevant feedback. They said I didn't have a portfolio: I have never heard of anyone having a portfolio for this type of position and they didn't even suggest bringing one. It's not artist, design, or programming position where you can show some completed work. They said I didn't have enough scripting experience but they didn't require it in the job description and they sure as heck didn't ask or test me about it during the interview.
