Interview with Director of Engineering - great. Followed by tech interview - asked to submit a coding exercise then talk through it in the interview. Nothing negative stood out, but then I was rejected based on lack of diverse experience and pep8 errors in the code. Ran my code thru a linter and it picked up on trailing whitespace and the odd capital letter in a function name. Nothing functional picked up on, just those minor things mentioned. They didnt asked me anything challenging or suggest any issues with the solution I submitted. Checked out both interviewers on LI and my diversity of experience far exceeds both theirs. Feels like made up reasons not to take me forward, face doesn't fit, whatever, but absolute waste of time. Boys club was mentioned in a review, definitely feels that way. No matter, dont want to work somewhere where they already have disingenuous people.
