I originally applied for an Account Executive role and had an initial phone interview with a Director of the Sales team. The initial call went well and I was scheduled for an on site interview. The address provided for the interview was incorrect and I had to call to confirm the correct office as no one reached out to me beforehand to notify me the wrong address was provided. When I arrived on site for the Account Executive interview, I was told that I wouldn't be a good fit for the role before I was even interviewed. They then tried to sell me on a lower position (sales development) which offered significantly lower compensation. So from the get-go, this felt like a disorganized interview process and I felt that I was bait and switched into another opportunity once I actually arrived on site. I then spoke with the SDR team where the actual interview took place. The SDR team was very nice and professional although one of the interviewers stepped out half way through to handle an internal payroll issue so I was left only speaking with one representative from the BirdEye team. Following the interview, I was told I would be contacted within five days by someone with a decision. That day came and went with no one from BirdEye ever reaching out to provide any feedback. Overall I was disappointed with the interview process as a whole. My reccomendation to the BirdEye team would be to tell interviewers up front if they feel like they will not be a good fit for the role they applied for before they arrive on site for an interview with that role. Secondly, someone should reach out to applicants with feedback by the deadline specified in the interview. If more time is needed to make a final decision, the applicant should be notified that the final decision is still under review.

I got to the final round and got good feedback. Ended up being ghosted. Even after the recruiter who was talking with me throughout the whole process. Zero transparency and a waste of my time.
