Applied for the role using an internal referral. The recruiter was outsourced (to IBM) and sitting in a different country. Confirmed receipt of the application and wrote "we will review and get back to you asap". A-S-A-P - as in: 3-months-later-with-two-follow-up-e-mails-from-the-candidate-and-still-no-answer-while-position-was-reposted-online-twice-since".
Enough said? Not even basic etiquette in dealing with candidates. And obviously Recruiting or all of HR is shipped off to a not so motivated external service provider. FAIL.
Connections at Biogen internally told me while this is frustrating, it is a completely normal experience with their HR.... Seems to be confirmed by a number of reviews here on Glassdoor. Awful candidate management!

Panel interviews and a presentation. Long process spread out over multiple weeks. Got to meet everyone who I would work with in this function. Overall, nice to meet the whole team but also could get tiring to reintroduce myself with each panel.
It was all online, spoke with the HR contact first. Then had panel interview remote. Lots of questions about the culture, company values, mission, etc. Great energy from the interview panelists.
The first part of the interview process was the phone screen (<30 minutes) with HR, next is 30 minute phone screen with hiring manager, and last is the 4-5 hour interview which includes multiple 1:1 interview plus a 15 presentation and panel Q&A.
