I applied through Indeed and received an email about wanting to schedule an interview. I replied back and waited almost a week to hear a response. The email was short, no formal salutation or signature, and contained spelling and grammar errors. They asked if a certain time and date to do a video call would work for me. I replied that it would work and asked what type of platform we would use to interview (Skype, Facetime, etc.). The interview date had come and passed and I received no call or email to follow up. I emailed them a few days later and was very polite. I expressed my apologies that we had missed our interview (even though I was ready and waiting by the phone for over an hour). A few more days passed and still no response. I sent one final email asking them to call me and have not received anything to this date.
I find it extremely unprofessional that an organization would express interest in an applicant and arrange an interview only to never reach out to the applicant again. If this is any indication of the type of company this is, I would steer clear.
