I applied online a week later I got a phone call from one of the managers for a phone interview it went well he said he would call back if they were interested a few minutes late he called back set up interview for next day. Came in a little early met one of the managers from appliance department we talked about music and asked some wierd questions but easy. The interview was very relaxed and I had to do sales pitch(his pen) that went good. Next i signed papers for a background check, drug check, which days available to work he told me he wasnt sure which department i would be working in and so 10 minutes later after interview called ask set up another interview....

Yesterday I filled out an on-line application for sales and customer service. It took about 20 minutes and they wanted you to list past employers including dates of employment, a list of your duties and included a list of 50 questions that you had to answer. The questions were mainly behavioral such as "are you more likely to do" then they listed 3-4 responses that I could pick from. If you are positive and think from an employer point of view-you will know which responses to select. Within 20 minutes a supervisor from the Best Buy store called me and said he had just received and was reviewing my application and had some questions he wanted to ask me. He was very nice and asked me what 3 departments in the store I would want to work in and in what order. When I could start, and if I had a flexible schedule. After answering all his questions, he told me that everything looked good and that I should come in at 2:30 the next day for an interview with the Manager of the computer department. This was for a part time position-30 hours or more a week. I would need to apply for a full-time position and be accepted in the full-time position before I could receive full health and dental benefits, although there were some smaller scale benefits for the part time employees as well, including a 401K. He explained that there would be a 2 week training period that includes shadowing (where you follow trained employees and learn from them through out the day in live transactions with customers.) and E-learning which is on-line training videos through Best Buy. Today for my interview I also plan on taking in my resume and cover letter. I plan on dressing UP a bit, as after taking a discreet walk through the store yesterday, I saw all employees wearing khaki pants with blue Best Buy polos. Although I viewed some in black pants and black shirts as well. That's all I got for ya folks!!! Good luck.
