They find you on monster or career builder and send emails and call you but the person contacting you knows next to nothing about the job. 100% commission, 'training' that you don't get paid for.

      Entretien

This company contacted me and asked me for an interview. I was emailed information by the recruiter to come for an interview. I researched the company and a few websites and became concerned about all the negative comments and lack of honesty in the process. I told the recruiter what my specific needs were and that I expect a one on one interview. I finally got a call back after two emails saying I was going to cancel the interview insuring me I would have a one on one, also telling me that this was not a pure commission opportunity. I finally agreed to attend the interview after I was insured that I would have a one on one after the initial career overview, and that there were management opportunities available w/ base salaries. Of course this was a total bait and switch. I was told by the branch manager following the interview that I only he set up the one on ones. After I sent the contact at the company an email, he gave me a one on one and was courteous. However, he only offered a pure comission position and had zero flexibility. They want you to be an independent contractor but give you assigned hours. Rediculous!!! Taking total advantage of people with no sales experience. I told him I would only work on a salary/ comm. program and declined his offer. I did inform him that i did not appreciate their deceptive hiring practices and sent him the emails illustrating that I had been totally bait and switched. Obviously he bashed the recruiting company, but I am sure he is totally aware of the practices and even condones it. You will find lots of stuff on the web about stuff to be majorly concerned about this company. They talk about integrity in their brochures and on their site, but lack it totally. Keep far away from this company!!!! You will have to pay all your own expenses, training, and gas, and give a good chunk of your money to overhead. God forbid you leave. They won't let you look at the contract they want you to sign, and say you can look at it all on line. The contract is one way. You will owe them money if you leave especially in the first year. Make sure you have deep pockets if you want to get started in the insurance business on straight comm. I was just glad that because of the postings and my previous bad experience with another insurance company, my eyes were wide open and I did not get sucked into this sick industry.
