J'ai postulé via un établissement d'enseignement supérieur ou universitaire. Le processus a pris 1 jour. J'ai passé un entretien chez Bain & Company (Dallas, TX) en oct. 2011
Entretien
The interview was 2 Back to Back interviews. Each interview had about 10-15 minutes of "Fit" and a 30 min Case.
One Case was a question about a Broadcasting Company (TV). The goal or objective was to drive short term profits. And the interview focused more on the cost side of things.
Another Case was a Gas Station/Convenience Store located in a local neighborhood. The case involved assessing whether to open a new store. Part of this was market sizing. Part was figuring out the key drivers, and how/why the market structure was a particular way.
Both interviews involved typical case questions about background, why consulting, why Bain. Examples of leadership, and dealing with persuasion in a difficult situation.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Assess whether we should enter the gas station industry/convenience store in a local area. Do market sizing. Assess market structure. Key Drivers. How to improve the profitability.
I applied online and got a online assessment after ~1 week. I completed the online test but I haven't heard back since then. The timeline is a bit uncertain to me.
First round case interviews. Got standard questions about profitability and market entry. IMO the most difficult part was reading complex charts and distilling the key insights with time pressure. There was little behavioral.
The interview was overall efficiently run and very professional. It had 2 stages; a case interview typical of management consuting interviews and a fit interview to assess cultural fit with the firm.
