Group Interview without any questions regarding relevant skill level/abilities
Interview was very obviously about hiring quantity rather than quality
Unfortunately as the company opened in the midst of the pandemic, many people were desperate for jobs, and it seems they were desperate to take advantage of staff.
Hired everyone in the group interview without ever speaking to anyone 1:1, or gaining an appropriate amount of information.
Months later they forced their staff to complete an application to Centrelink (whether they wanted to or not) so they could collect on govt funding.
It is now very clear why they were so willing to hire everyone without properly interviewing them.
