I applied online for an iOS developer role via Backbase carrers website. After couple of days, a recruiter wrote to me for scheduling an interview. I had the first interview after one week and it was for checking out if we have the same expectations for the role. We talked about previous experience, notice period, salary expectations etc. They responded to me about the outcome of the interview, after a day or two. I had the second interview half a month later, due to scheduled vacation time. This interview was with a mobile architect, an informal one, to check if I would fit in their team. This interview lasted around half an hour. I got a response and instructions for the next steps the same day. They sent me a coding challenge that I needed to finish in 48 hours after opening the challenge. They gave me this challenge on Friday, so I can have the weekend for solving it. This challenge was about checking my iOS experience by creating an iOS application. It was explained well and it was pretty clear what I need to do. I sent them my solution on Sunday afternoon. The next week, I had a technical interview with an iOS developer. In the first part of the interview, we reviewed my solution of the challenge. The second part was a technical interview, where they were asking me couple of iOS & software engineering related questions. This interview didn't last more than 1 hour. After 2 days, I got a response from their side. After two weeks, I had an interview with a mobile director. This interview lasted an half an hour and we had an informal talk, to recheck if I would fit in some of the teams. I got a response the same day, saying that they would want me to go to an onsite final interview in their offices in Amsterdam. They arranged return flights & hotel room, two weeks in advance, as agreed. They sent me detailed instructions about my trip. I arrived in Amsterdam Tuesday night & I had the interviews on Wednesday morning. The first interview was with scrum masters. The final interview was with the mobile director that I previously had interview with. These interviews were to double check if I would meet their expectations. After the interviews, we had lunch & tour around the offices. I left Amsterdam on Wednesday evening. *In general Each interview went good, the interviewers were positive, respectful & open for any questions.

There were several steps: an interview with a recruiter, a technical assignment which takes around 8 hours to fulfill, a tech interview and finally a culture fit interview with future manager.
