My interview process for the Product Manager role at BT was structured yet conversational. It began with a 30-minute screening call with a recruiter, focusing on my background, product management experience, and motivation for joining BT. This was followed by a first-round interview with the hiring manager, where we discussed my experience managing product roadmaps, stakeholder alignment, and delivering customer-centric solutions.
The second stage involved a panel interview with two senior product leads and a UX designer. I was given a case study beforehand to prepare a short presentation outlining how I would launch a new digital product within BT’s ecosystem. They assessed my approach to customer research, MVP definition, KPIs, and collaboration across engineering and design teams.
Throughout the process, the interviewers emphasized BT’s focus on digital transformation, innovation, and customer-first mindset. Questions also tested my ability to work in Agile environments and handle cross-functional communication challenges.
The final round was a cultural fit interview with a senior director, mainly assessing leadership style, adaptability, and long-term career aspirations. Overall, the process was smooth, transparent, and gave me a good sense of BT’s collaborative and evolving work culture
